Denver Colorado web design and Internet consulting company EBIZ Machine has designed a case study to educate businesses about techniques used to improve the usability and relevance of their websites and ensure that their products and services are visible to the online community.

Project Description
This site along with its companion site www.WITHOUTseo.com were designed to test the web page optimization techniques that EBIZ Machine utilizes to improve web site performance. In general, high search engine rankings are the result of both good inbound links and optimized, relevant web page content that improves a visitor's online experience.

In this case, WITHseo.com has been designed to maximize the liklihood that its pages will be indexed by the major search engines and designed to show up in natural searches related to search engine optimization. WITHOUTseo.com, on the other hand, has been designed using development techniques thought to impede website usability and its success in search engine performance. The results of this experiment are being analyzed and reported by Bill Schwartz, owner of EBIZ Machine.

Note: This search engine optimization tips site and case study are provided for educational purposes in order to introduce businesses to important techniques approved by search engines and designed to improve the online experience of visitors to their sites. Optimization Techniques Utilized on WITHseo.com
The following techniques were utilized in an attempt to optimize this page:
Website Content - In many respects, the success of your site stems from the quality of the relevant content on your website. Your industry peers and topical experts will be eager to reference and utilize your website if it is a valuable source of relevant information and you have achieved an appropriate level of expertise.
Keyword Research - The goal is to find keyword phrases that are related to your business and that your potential customers actually use in Google, Yahoo! or other Internet search engines.
Keyword Placement - Although experts disagree about the relative importance of the many locations where you might embed your keywords, there are a number of recommended locations where your keywords should appear.
Keyword Density - Your keywords should appear in the body or content areas of your Web page but in an acceptable frequency.
Meta Tag Definitions - Although some experts suggest that the major search engine crawlers ignore many of the hidden Meta tags behind your page, a case can still be made that the utilization of the standard Meta tags should continue to be part of your optimization strategy.
Link Building - “The goal behind link building is to develop “inbound” links to your web pages in order to drive traffic to your site and improve your search engine ranking. To the extent possible for a demo site like this one, attempts will be made to develop inbound links to WITHseo.com.
Site Architecture - “Although hotly debated, it appears that the use of certain development technologies may impede proper indexing of website pages. Examples cited include HTML frames, Macromedia Flash animation and Javascript. To the extent possible, we will avoid the use of these techologies in the WITHseo.com design.
